May 8,2024 Ven.Aphichet Somkamsri, Acting Director to Administarion Division, joined webinar intervew and seminar on Boran Meditation and Buddhist texts in Southeast Asia.<\/div>\n

Seminar hosted by Vipasana Program of Mahachulalongkronrajavidayalaya University and there was Ven.Yougyut Dhiradhammo as the moderator.<\/div>\n

The seminar allowed speakers to share the process of working and tacit knowledge. Ven.Montre Papassaro,abbot of Wat Thepnimit,who was the chairman of translation team, addressed on the way of Esan Boran Meditation. Besides, Ven.Aphichet Somkamsri shared about mix-culture of mediation in Southest Asia and the proposes of project.<\/div>\n

As we have known, meditation is the way of training mind and spirit in Buddhism. On the other hand, there are many ways of meditational tradition such as Zen practice and Vajarayana practice. Esan meditation is one of the diversity.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

However, Esan meditation is less known and going to be forgotten becuase of globalization and nomination of Thai culutre into Northeast and another parts in Thailand. Moreover, Esan meditaion is intangible cultural heritage of Mekong people.<\/div>\n
